During England's mini heatwave, all our vegetable patches and fruit bushes exploded in an abundance of colourful pickings serving us bucket-full's of organic home made delights. I know I touched on this in my last post, but after returning from holiday, I just couldn't wait to show you before we gobble everything up in a variety of stir-fries, salads, and soups! Today we picked hundreds of runner and french beans.. not a particular favourite in our family, but I guess we haven't got a choice now whether we like them or not! Mum has been mentioning setting up one of those cute stalls (an almost broken table with a scribbly hand written sign 'help yourself' with a variety of greens) at the end of our drive to help lighten the load.

I couldn't resist sneaking in a snap of our pool, despite it not being heated, it was perfect for cooling off and games of 'marco polo' when the sun got too much. We've got a fair bit of harvesting left to do over the next few weeks; so watch this space :)
